Getting to know Vanessa Roman
I completed my residency under the guidance of the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist at Cedars-Sinai, where I worked with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Prior to advanced practice, I received multiple Patient Quality Service Awards at Cedars-Sinai as a registered nurse. My training includes experience in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, & complex medical-psychiatric conditions. I’m known for being fully engaged, present, and compassionate in sessions, and for creating an environment where clients feel safe to speak openly without judgment.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach is honest, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. I believe in working respectfully and transparently with each client at a pace that feels right for them. I develop individualized treatment plans and can integrate both psychopharmacology and supportive psychotherapy depending on your needs.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
During our first sessions, we'll take time to discuss what brought you in, your symptoms, and what you hope to improve. I ask thoughtful, clarifying questions and listen closely to understand your experience. By the end of our time together, you will have a clear understanding of the next steps in your treatment plan and how we will move forward.
