Getting to know Venita Ninemire
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with dual certification as a family nurse practitioner. I earned my Master’s in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. I am trained and experienced in helping you manage your mental health medication needs. I enjoy cooking, baking, laughing, and working with people. Like many of you, my house is messy, but my guests feel welcome, and my kids all know where to find the ice cream and snacks. Let me get to know you and help you.
My approach
I like to identify what patients are seeking, then find a place in the middle that fulfills both their needs and their wishes.
My focus
I am most comfortable treating depression and anxiety. As a prescriber, I work within what is expected professionally, but also as a human being—I want to help patients develop a care plan they can live with and believe in for improvement.
My communication style
I want my patients to feel comfortable confiding information necessary to know them and their needs. I have never worked with myself, but I have cried and laughed enough with friends and patients to feel we all can find common ground to make reasonable, effective plans for care.
My first session with you
To ensure a productive first visit, please fill out your intake form in advance! During our first visit, we will complete a full mental health assessment and evaluation. There will be lots of questions, especially about your medical and mental health history. Once we complete your evaluation, we can discuss a treatment plan specific to your needs that will get you on the road to feeling better as soon as possible!

I had felt like a lot of the things i had gone through with this provider (my severe anxiety with a long history and anhodenia) was not really taken seriously and that she had a rude attitude as if i were wasting her time.
I was told that what i needed instead was a psychologist and when we had gone through my previous medications and was asked how my current ones were helping, i said that it exacerbates my anhodenia which makes its effacacy quite limiting (as i need to take a low dose because of it)
After this she had asked me something along the lines of "Well, what do you want me to do?", i was hoping that by making this appointment i could try a different type of medication and perhaps see how that goes, but i can't really start with a non-starter.
Maybe she just had a bad day, but respectfully, at least from my particular anecdotal experience i cannot recommend this provider.
