Dr. Arballo is a board-certified psychiatrist who earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego.
Since residency, he has served as a staff psychiatrist and military unit director at Cumberland Hall Hospital, providing care to diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, active duty military, and those with in-patient chemical dependency. In this setting, he treats a wide array of psychopathology typical of the in-patient population, such as psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, substance use disorders, and disruptive/impulse/conduct disorders.
In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Arballo has held leadership roles including resident chair of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee during residency and currently serves on multiple hospital boards, including Governing, Medical Executive, Utilization Review, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, and Patient Grievance committees.
Dr. Arballo provides evidence-based medication management and psychotherapy to address mental health conditions. He is a strong advocate for patient autonomy, quality improvement, and psychoeducation.
