My name is Victoria Olaniyan, DNP, APN, MSN, PMHNP-BC. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in New Jersey and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults ages 18 and above, treating anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and sleep disorders using psychotherapy, behavior interventions, and medication management, if necessary, to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach to providing mental healthcare varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I use client-centered approach whereby clients are active participants in managing their mental health. I utilize talk therapy as a modality to help client understand their reality and chart a way forward to healing. I work with clients from all walks of life, ages 18 and above. I work with clients to help them navigate life changes and build skills to help them feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. I work with clients suffering with anxiety disorders, depression and bipolar disorders, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and sleep disorders. I decided to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner because I have always wanted to help people. I worked as a psychiatric nurse for 14 years and later became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to better serve the population. I have always been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I like seeing clients become the best versions of themselves. We will work together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together starting with trust building between us and getting comfortable. Gradually, we will work together to set goals and track the progress made.
