I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, completed my internship in Internal Medicine at New York Downtown Hospital, and finished my residency in Internal Medicine at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Don’t go here! Beside manner is absolutely horrible. Tommy did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable but when the doctor walked in he didn’t even introduce himself or ask anything about how I was feeling… nothing. Then gave me bare minimum talk and told me that he wasn’t able to do what I was ask and referred to it as “this thing” … horrible. I called back because I was sent home with absolutely nothing and the staff on the phone told me that they are aware that the doctor is like this, their excuse was “he’s the owner he’s like that”. Never going back and wouldn’t refer anyone to this location or to be seen by this man. Absolutely no information was put in my portal, the whole experience was a 0/10 and I hated it.

I take 15 medications and two supplements. He went through each and all to see if there were bad interactions between any. Was very patient and listened well to what I said. Very positive experience.

I cannot recommend Dr. Vikas Desai highly enough. As someone living with SLE (lupus), finding a physician who truly listens and understands the complexity of autoimmune conditions has been challenging – until I found Dr. Desai.
He took the time to listen carefully to all of my concerns and symptoms, never once making me feel rushed or dismissed. I left the appointment with appropriate referrals to specialists who can address specific aspects of my condition, as well as prescriptions that have already begun helping me feel better.
It's rare to find a doctor who combines medical expertise with genuine compassion and thoroughness. If you're looking for a physician who will be a true partner in managing your health, especially with complex or chronic conditions, Dr. Desai is exceptional.

Kept his back to me entire time. Did not seem to care on discussing causes of condition. Mostly interested in what the “data” shows but no review on what I could do to feel better. Prescribed me OTC meds that I was already taking.

but next day they change that for an hour earlier the same morning
them when I was there receive a text telling me that
they was changing my appointment for next Thursday
when I was there
them the doctor was not even 5 minutes with me and he never ask me or give me any recommendations about my pain

Great people. If you want to go to a doctor and have your blood drawn without not even a pinch please visit this site. Great staff. Doctor was knowledgeable and didn’t rush the appointment and talk through the issues. Great place as I was new patient.

The doctor came in and was sighing like it was an inconvenience to him that I was there. I'm also fat and a smoker and every doctor ive been to, including this one, does not think they need to treat me like a regular person because I'm fat and a smoker. I am always told 'just lose weight and quit smoking' instead of doing tests to see if idk something else is wrong. The doctor was extremely rude and felt like he was rushing to get out. Super unprofessional and I will never return nor recommend this doctor to anyone

Nice office. Nice office staff. But Dr. Desai is awful. He clearly doesn’t care about his patients. He is rude and just wants to get you out as quickly as possible. Will not be going back to see him and highly recommend you do not!

Great doctor. Only waited for about 20 minutes before being taken in for my appointment , his assistant that did my new patient physical was so friendly. Efficient and caring. I even had to call the after hour line because I needed my prescription sent over to a different pharmacy because I was leaving for vacation the next and my current pharmacy was out of stock. He got back to me 20 minutes later and sent it right over. Happy I finally found a good primary care physician.

i was the only patient in the waiting room at 11:56am arriving for my appointment, when i see a food delivery for the office come in (my appointment was at 12pm). i waited a half hour then ewent up to the front desk at around 12:30 to ask when the doctor was going to see me, to which she said, they’re just getting the room ready. after another 10 minutes of still being the only patient in the waiting room, i again went up to the desk and requested to see the doctor asap because i had somewhere else to be. the nurse came and got me immediately after that. when the doctor came in he didn’t say hello and it was awkward silence for a few seconds well before he started asking questions. Anyway, not very clean office and i guess they prioritize lunch over a singular patient.
