About Dr. Vinay Chopra
Dr. Vinay Chopra is a board certified and fellowship trained Sports Medicine physician who specializes in sports medicine, regenerative medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, concussion management, and aesthetic medicine.
He treats a range of conditions including: sprains/strains, fractures, concussion, arthritis and disorders of the joints, sports related injuries. He also has extensive experience in MSK ultrasound and various therapies such as Tenjet tenotomy, platelet rich plasma (PRP), Lipogems, adipose and BMAC stem cell injections.
Dr. Chopra is also trained and certified in advanced aesthetic medicine by the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine in procedures such as Botox, Juvederm, PRP facials, chemical peels.
He has experience with professional athletes and has worked as a team physician for the NY Jets football team during his fellowship. He also has college-level experience working with University of Maryland, and Rutgers University and served as team physician for West Orange High School, Summit High School, and Felician College. Dr. Chopra was also head team physician for Ocean County Community College, Manalapan High School, Freehold Borough High School, and Ocean Township High School. He was also the medical director of Lakewood Blueclaws, the minor league system of Philadelphia Phillies, and appointed by the NJSACB as a ringside physician and certified in combat medicine. He has covered numerous mixed martial arts events such as UFC, Bellator.
Dr. Chopra earned his BA from Rutgers University, and medical degree with honors from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center and completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Morristown Medical Center
