About Dr. Vineet Mishra

Dr. Vineet Mishra M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon who divides his time between Legacy Dermatology and his faculty position as a professor, Mohs surgeon, cosmetic dermatologist, and venous disease specialist at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California. A Nashville native, Vineet earned his Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University (where he first became friends with then-classmates Farid and Jenny Dharamsi!). He went on to complete his medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, internship at Emory University, dermatology residency at the University of Alabama – Birmingham, and procedural dermatology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California under the esteemed Dr. Hugh Greenway. Prior to joining Scripps Clinic in 2018, he spent five years overseeing the entire Mohs department at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio as the Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Mishra lectures nationally on cutaneous oncology, laser medicine, phlebology, and cosmetic dermatology. He also is deeply involved in public policy at the state and federal level as well as through his work in the American Medical Association House of Delegates. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, tennis, and traveling.
