Patient reviews for Dr. Viviana Suaya
Personable, kind, great listener, well informed expert of psychiatry and mental health. She’s one of the best in Los Angeles. She is compassionate and understanding.
Great Psychiatrist! Feels like the first I can trust to make the right decision.
I’m usually concerned about drs overprescribing me medication and not having my best interest, this is not Dr Suaya. Smart and trustworthy
I was referred to Dr. Suaya's office. I contacted her and asked if she handled my insurance and gave the name of my insurance carrier she replied yes. So I did an online booking with ZocDoc ,it was awesome and quick. When I got to the office there was no reception room just a waiting room. Some lady came out to help a new patient she asked if I was was a new patient for Dr. Suaya, I replied yes. Handed her my completed forms. Receptionist left and returned a few minutes later with more forms. Then requested my insurance policy. I informed her the paperwork was still catching up. I told her my insurance carrier. She said she would call to verify. Twenty minutes later she yelled at me from halfway across the waiting room in front of other patients "you don't have the right insurance carrier, please have a nice day." According to Dr. S. I did have the correct insurance carrier but the receptionist said I didn't. Their is a lack of communication in that office. The traffic in the area is messy and the office is hard to get to.
I saw Dr. Suaya for the first time today, and the experience was wonderful. I was diagnosed with ADHD nine years ago, and I was in need of a psychiatrist to help me maintain my medication. I first spoke to Dr. Suaya briefly by phone on the morning of my appointment and, as I explained to her that I was presently uninsured, she kindly offered me a generous cash rate to accommodate my lack of insurance, which I appreciated very much. I unfortunately arrived at my appointment 15 minutes late, but Dr. Suaya and her staff were very understanding. I was seen promptly and treated by the doctor and her staff with great kindness, professionalism, and respect. Intake paperwork and billing was quick and seamless. My session with Dr. Suaya was incredibly helpful. I received an electronic prescription for the ADHD medication that I needed, but not only that: in addition, Dr. Suaya spent time with me, heard my experiences, and provided me with useful, practical information regarding the management of my condition. She gave me helpful advice as to how to best control my symptoms and manage the dosing of my medication so as to ensure the optimal balance between preserving my general health and the taking of my medication. I found Dr. Suaya to be wonderful, kind, and genuinely caring. I look forward to seeing her again, and I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional and caring psychiatrist on the Westside.
