About Dr. Vuon Nim
Dr. Nim was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States when she was nine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University and went on to attend Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During optometry school, she participated in international volunteer trips, providing eye care to under-served areas in Haiti, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Dr. Nim discovered her passion for scleral lenses during her 4th year of Optometry school. She was fortunate enough to gain valuable experiences with scleral lenses, learning various fitting techniques to achieve the perfect fit.
For most patients, scleral lenses allow them to see sharply for the very first time. For Dr. Nim, the excitement on patients’ faces as their vision clears up is one of the most rewarding part of fitting these lenses.
In her free time, Dr. Nim enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking, and traveling. She also enjoys tending to her large collection of plants. To stay active, she loves rock climbing and climbs at every chance she gets.

She was a bit cold and it came off as rude. I have never needed glasses in my life, so I was a bit shocked when I was recommended a perscription. When I asked her questions, she was clearly annoyed that I asked her and then told me that I’ve needed glasses my whole life and was just « hiding it » which is not true. I then asked if there was anything that I could do to help slow the deterioration or even reverse it and she just scoffed and said no and left. When I returned to the office for my glasses, she barely said hello, but I was the only patient there, so it didn’t seem like she was busy with an appointment

Dr. Nim was wonderful! Very thorough. She reviewed and explained all exam/test findings very well and took my input about lens strength into consideration. I feel like my prescription is much better than it has been in the past. The office was clean and small which was nice. The front desk was quick and helped with understanding billing and insurance as this is the first time I’ve used my new insurance. The tech was very kind and thorough helping get the testing and medical history portion done quickly before my physical exam with the Dr. Nim. Overall very good visit!

I made an appointment for Friday, September 6th for 10:30am. I made the appointment early on Thursday morning via ZocDoc on September 5th.
At 10:15am on the day of my “appointment” I got a call stating that there was no appointments available. I was already parked and inside the building when I received the late call.
I’m frustrated because the business opens at 9:00am. They could have called at 9:30am or even 10:00am so I didn’t have to waste my time or gas. I was just really disappointed with their lack of consideration.

I’m blown away at how easy and enjoyable my doctor’s appointment was. Every single staff member was a delight! They were all knowledgeable, kind and happy to help. I came in for a checkup as a new patient and had a great experience with Dr. Vuon Nim (and her staff). She's excellent at taking the time to get to know you, talk through your concerns, and explain your results without ever making you feel rushed. The women who helped me with my glasses and eye tests were wonderful to work with as well.

Very clean facility with extremely helpful and efficient staff. They even helped fix a pair of broken glasses for me while I was being seen.
Dr. Nim was great! Not only did she get all the usual exam pieces done correctly and quickly she even gave me a few places to check out while I’m here on work.
Billing and checkout more of the same friendly and expedient service. Super easy. If I lived here it’s the place I’d go to all the time.

First off, shoutout to ZocDoc bc this app is fire!
Dr. Lay is my go-to person for anything eye-related. I thought my vision was fine for 30+ years until i finally made my first visit with Dr. Lay. With my new found vision I can see clearly with confidence. It all makes sense now why life was so hard before, I couldn't see through the obstacles through my birth lens. No more drama because i can now see through all the bs. No more if the dress is blue or yellow. No more wondering if she's the one. I feel like i could be in that version signal commercial but instead of "you hear me now?" it'll be "you see me now?"
Stop by and shoot your shot. I promise you won't regret it, trust me.

Dr. Nim is very professional and was very thorough with my exam. She gave me an explanation of what was going on with my vision and adjusted my prescription. Now I see clearer and my eyes feel much better going on her contact lens recommendations. I would high recommend her practice.

I was nervous about the visit but she made it all go away with her professional expertise. She took great care of me! I will definitely be coming back to her and recommending her to my family and friends.
