About Dr. Wahaj Ahmed

Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree from Windsor University School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. As a board-certified internist, Dr. Ahmed has been practicing medicine for the past five years. While at AMITA GlenOaks Hospital, Dr. Ahmed helped the hospitalist program achieve the most improved in terms of quality. Due to his past research experience at University of Chicago, Dr. Ahmed also understands the importance of remaining up-to-date with new guidelines in patient care. This allows him to uniquely bond with his patients to positively change their health outcomes for the better. Dr. Ahmed realized the difficulties in patient care with multiple providers handling care for one patient overtime. The messages I received up to the appointment all indicated it was a video appointment and said the doctors office would send me the information to connect. I never received it and when I called they said they were expecting me in person. I never saw the doctor but did talk with the PA who ordered labs. I was a little disappoint not getting a chance to speak with the PCP since It was my first time seeing him and that I am looking for a regular PCP.
