About Wanzhu Hou

Wanzhu Hou is a licensed acupuncturist, NCCAOM-certified Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, and physician trained in China. She has more than 40 years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine and integrative healthcare, with expertise in acupuncture, botanical medicine, and individualized care. Before establishing her U.S. practice, Dr. Hou served as a Professor and Chief Attending Physician at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and its affiliated hospital. She treated patients in Internal and Emergency Medicine, taught international medical students, and conducted clinical research in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative medicine. After moving to the United States, Dr. Hou founded All Natural Medicine Clinic and developed a physiology-based approach to care. She has treated acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory illnesses, autoimmune and digestive disorders, chronic pain, neurological conditions, women’s health concerns, stress-related disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries. Her clinical philosophy focuses on correcting physiological disturbances that contribute to illness rather than treating only a diagnostic label. Her personalized plans use acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle guidance to support cellular function, regulate immune responses, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote natural healing. Dr. Hou also conducts translational research linking traditional Chinese medicine with modern biomedical science. She is developing a host pathologic state-directed botanical therapeutic platform intended to restore physiological function across diverse diseases. She is the inventor of U.S. patent-pending technologies related to this approach and is pursuing research through the National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovation Research program. Her goal is to advance evidence-informed integrative medicine and provide compassionate care that improves health, function, and quality of life.
