Since 2000, after moving to Middle TN, he worked as a staff psychiatrist with Centerstone Community Mental Health where he helped implement tele-psychiatry. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in private practice, has supervised over 30 psychiatric nurse practitioners, and has provided Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment to his patients. From 2012 to 2017 he served as the interim Medical Director of Lifecare Family Services. Dr. Bell and his wife, Jody, have been married since 1981 and have raised 4 wonderful children. They currently enjoy spending time with their 7 grandchildren.
