Bill is a nationally board-certified licensed acupuncturist who applies a variety of acupuncture and functional medicine techniques to treat a broad spectrum of disorders. He has a primary focus in cancer-related side effects, acute and chronic pain, digestive issues, anxiety, menopausal symptoms, migraines/headaches and insomnia.
From a severely sprained ankle to 4th stage cancer, Bill meets you where you’re at in your healing journey, providing an adjunctive healing modality to accelerate your progress. He has also developed professional relationships with an excellent team of healthcare professionals in the area to refer patients who need a neurosurgeon, nutritionist, or physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction.
Experience
Bill has more than 20 years of clinical experience in both private and hospital-based practice (Inova Fairfax), is the author of more than 200 publications, and is very involved with promoting integrative healthcare in the United States.
He began his career as an Aerospace Engineer, flight-testing helicopters with the U.S. Navy, putting satellites in space with the U.S. Air Force Space Test Program, and supporting the director of flight test for the Joint Strike Fighter program. He continued his education pursuing master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology and Systems Engineering at George Mason University. He then made the decision to change careers and studied acupuncture and oriental medicine under professors and graduates of Beijing and Shanghai medical schools in 1997 at the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese medicine. He was President of his class, and the first student to serve on the Board of Directors of the University.
Bill wants to promote acupuncture on both a state and federal level and served on the Board of Directors of organizations to legitimize acupuncture to be part of mainstream healthcare.

Great follow-up appointment with Bill yesterday. I had originally scheduled my appointment because I had not been in for several months. On the day of the appointment I woke up with mild congestion and a sore throat. Bill helped treat these symptoms and recommended supplements to take. He also helped with anxiety I was feeling.

Skilled, excellent, kind, and compassionate acupuncture therapist. Highly recommend booking a session(s) with Bill Reddy for numerous ailments.
I struggled with severely limiting low back pain due to a nerve impingement that o was told only a surgical intervention would alleviate my pain and discomfort.
However I have been able to successfully walk in a 5K race in Aug 2023 and complete the 3.1 miles in 57 minutes! I credit receiving monthly and sometimes bi-monthly acupuncture treatments which helped to significantly help me beyond the numerous spinal steroid injections and pharmaceutical medications that I was previously prescribed.
Acupuncture is not a quick fix, but with a skilled practitioner such as Bill Reddy, it will work if you take the time to allow the treatments and recommended follow up care to work.

I had chronic pain in my neck and back after a few surgeries. The prescription pain medications were not effective and just covered up the pain. My pain management doctor recommended acupuncture, and my physical therapist recommended Bill Reddy. I was initially skeptical, not expecting much and perhaps more pain with little needles sticking into me. After my third session, the pain I had experienced for years disappeared, and I had a significantly greater range of motion. I am still mesmerized by what Bill Reddy's treatment plan was able to accomplish where other treatments from doctors failed. I did not feel the needles, and the treatment was more like a trip to the spa. Better yet, my insurance covered the costs. I would give Bill a higher rating if possible as he is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional, and customizes treatments based on my situation. Simply outstanding!!
