What should a new client know about working with you?

Depth psychological principles, approaches, and techniques have been fundamental to the origins of psychology and essential in key aspects of psychological advancement across time. Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung, William James, Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and others laid the foundation for this ever-expanding approach to mental and behavioral wellbeing. At The Jones Psychology Group, the client will be introduced to a newly branded branch of the depth psychological movement; Integrative Depth Psychology and Psychotherapy®, founded by William James Jones, PhD. At the heart of most human sciences is the careful blending of science and art, Integrative Depth Psychology and Psychotherapy® endeavors to combine both essential factors. Depth Psychology suggests an approach to psychotherapy and psychological thinking that is open to the exploration and study of conscious, unconscious, and transpersonal (ontological) aspects of the human experience. Integrative Depth Psychology and Psychotherapy® imparts deference to the depth of one’s psyche while tending to the soul of human authenticity and the process of self-actualization.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Whether working with me, or another provider within our private practice, connecting to the root of behavioral and mental health concerns is our gold standard. The clinical work is not just about reducing problematic symptoms, but understanding the nature of certain symptoms and how symptoms can often signal unaddressed areas of one's life.

More information on payments and coverage

Your privacy, care, and confidentiality is vital to us. Many of our clients take advantage of the weekly super-bill we can provide in order to seek insurance coverage reimbursement as we are considered out-of-network PPO providers. A superbill is essentially a detailed provider invoice for service(s). More specifically, a superbill is an itemized form, used by healthcare providers in the United States, which details services provided to a patient. It is the main data source for creation of a healthcare claim, which will be submitted to payers for reimbursement. The choice to remain off traditional managed care insurance panels has given our patients the freedom and flexibility to seek the depth oriented treatment they need for as long as they may need. This means, for those clients demonstrating financial need, We reserve the right to implement a sliding scale on an as needed basis determined by client necessity and practitioner availability. This is done on a case by case basis. It is our mission to be of service to the community, which is why we also offer a lower sliding scale fee (Provided by our Registered Psychological Associates and Clinical Practicum Associates) for individuals and couples seeking depth-oriented psychological treatment but cannot afford a higher fee or full-fee. We are a proud PPO Out of Network provider and also accept Visa, MasterCard (and Debit Cards), American Express, Discover Card, and Flexible Spending Account Benefits.
