About Yaemi Matias
When I was an intern at Gouverneur hospital I had a patient who got spasms in his arms and legs every time he tried to walk. He had seen several acupuncturists before me. I was able to connect with him and he found confidence and is now able to walk, not perfectly, but he has great confidence. It is working with patients like him that give me hope and continue to inspire.
I graduated from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and also hold a Yoga Teacher Certificate. Walking this path alongside my patients, I continue training in Healing Sciences originated from Southeast Asia to further understand the opening pathways to the body's own healing wisdom.

I had such a great experience! She creates such a calm, welcoming space and really takes the time to understand what you need. I left feeling so relaxed and taken care of. Highly recommend if you’re looking for acupuncture.

Yaemi is really good at what she does, and she’s young and still learning new things, she has worked on me in the past and she was the first person who ever did acupuncture on me. I was skeptical at first of acupuncture in general but I see now that it has stood the test of time for a reason. I even did moving acupuncture one time with her and it was a very unique experience. My body has went through a healing experience in my sessions with Yaemi.
