About Dr. Yama Afshar
Dr. Yama Afshar is an internal medicine physician with a background in public health. He completed medical school at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ and residency in internal medicine at UCSF Fresno in Fresno, CA. Dr. Afshar provides primary care for adults which includes evaluation and management of a variety of acute and chronic conditions such as heart disease, COPD, kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and others. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Great experience, front of staff was super warm and welcoming and friendly. Staff was superb, doctor wa patient and listened without rushing or trying to leave. Great experience.

Visited Dr. Afshar for my annual physical and he was a delight. He was comical and engaging in our conversations. He truly was genuine at discussing the outcome of his exam and provided recommendations on how to regulate. My overall visit was a pleasing one: the facility is clean, the front desk team is welcoming, and the medical assistants are hospitable as well.
