The only thing that was pleasant about my appointment with Dr. El-Gazzar was his kind staff/receptionists. Not only did I wait nearly 2 hours before he saw me, but Dr. El-Gazzar was rude to both me and his staff.
He stated that I would most likely need a cast past my elbow for an injury on my wrist, but an MRI would have to confirm it. Since this was the case, it made more sense to wait until I got an MRI first, have Dr. El-Gazzar review it in a couple days, and decide what to do from there. However, Dr. El-Gazzar pressured me to purchase a removable splint on the day of my appointment (which didn’t even go past my elbow, so this did not make sense), and when I expressed that I didn’t want to, he was rude and treated me with hostility.
Dr. El-Gazzar is rude to his staff, does not know how to speak with his patients, pressures them to spend more money than they need to, and overbooks appointments causing an average 2 hour wait time. Do NOT book an appointment with him.

Dr. El Gazzar is very straight forward and knowledgeable. I have been seeing him several times with knee problems and he explains the issues and treatment options and is open to what the patient thinks and wants. The office staff is very friendly. I highly recommend NEO.

First and foremost I like thank Zocdoc for offering this great service on this app. My experience at Dr El-Gazzer office was great! The Dr. and his staff are wonderful from the, Dr. Asst, X-Ray Tech to the office staff. His knowledge and expertise are hands on. He presented me with ways to cope and deal with my situation of pain of in muscle and joints, also how we can come to a resolution with further testing to eliminate the problem. I am a fireman so my body is my paycheck/career, so this whole experience had me very anxious about how I was going to recover and get back to work.
I went to Dr. El-Gazzar as my 3rd opinion, having seen 2 other ortho at Hackensack that told me that I need surgery and 5 months off from work. The doctor was very practical and down to earth, he diagnosed my biceps tear within seconds of examining me without even looking at the MRI. He showed me videos and pictures of my diagnosis and surgery that he was planning, felt very comfortable, 3rd time was a charm, he was my last opinion.
I waited a little to write this review to really see and evaluate what this experience was going to be like.
I underwent surgery 2 months ago and am recovering to full range of motion already, no pain. I have to keep reminding myself that I had surgery recently and not to try to use the arm yet.
I could not be happier and more satisfied with New Edge Orthopedics and the surgeon, El-gazzar. Every part of this journey has been amazing from work forms for time off to post-surgery care to responsiveness to any concerns and questions.
If anybody I know has an orthopedics or sports issue, I don't hesitate to send them here.

Very long wait time, but well worth it. Dr. El-Gazzar was able to quickly identify a host of previously hard-to-diagnose issues, chart out a treatment plan, and was very good about providing strong referrals and helping me work with insurance to make sure I'd be covered.

Went 3 times and each time had to wait over 1.5- 2.5 hrs. Doctor tried best to give me 8- 12 shots in 1st visit before waitimg for MRI. Moved to another practice,new doc waited on MRI and eventually gave 3 shots.

I would consider my injury minor but it took a whole team of wonderful people to make my visit very comfortable & delightful from the front desk reception to intake personnel to the x ray technician to Dr EL-Gazzar. He explained everything in great detail, very attentive, well paced and very comfortable to be around. The young lady who closed it out is amazing - I was sent off feeling confident about my care & what to do for follow up. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a professional, exceptional, caring concerned orthopedic.

I will preface this by saying that Dr. El-Gazzar is fantastic. He's cheerful, sharp, extremely competent, and no-nonsense in a manner that isn't aggressive or cold. His receptionists and staff are very friendly and patient despite having to deal with some exceptionally irritating patients (seriously- I don't know what's up with this clinic, but every time I go there's somebody being extremely rude to the receptionists, asking the same questions over and over again, blatantly refusing to listen to the doctor's advice or trying to argue with him because they don't want to do a treatment or want a different treatment, etc.). With this said, the wait times are HORRIBLE. Absolutely abysmal. Getting admitted to a room within a half hour is a blessing, and then the waiting game continues. On average it takes me 1.25 hours to see the doctor. I'm pretty sure the clinic just forgot that I had an appointment while I was in the waiting room at least once. The place is extraordinarily overbooked, and the aforementioned ornery patients make the wait times longer because the Doctor has to spend 20 mins trying to convince them that yes, they do have the issue that he diagnosed them with and yes, they do need the treatment he recommended. Once the doctor comes in, everything is great, but the wait times almost make it not worth it. If your injury is fairly mild or can be treated by a general doctor, or if your employer isn't tolerant towards taking a couple hours off on a weekday once in a while, you should seek care elsewhere. If you have a more severe injury and/or don't mind sitting in a waiting room for at least 30 mins in pursuit of high-quality care, I'd recommend this doctor.

I saw doctor El-Gazzar twice, and he 30-45 minutes late to the office in both times. The doctor is very pleasant, but I felt he rushed me to do surgery without carefully examining the situation.

I was a new patient and his assistant walked in and referred to me as "this" and had to be corrected by the Xray tech that I was a person and not a "this." The doctor spoke down to me and in a belittling voice asked me 3 times if I was sure I would comply with his instructions. It seems like they are used to patients who lie and aren't compliant. Either way it's poor customer service to make make broad assumptions and treat adults like small children. As I was responding to his question on where else I had discomfort he cut me off and concluded, "that's because you work out and dont stretch". Which isn't true and when I expressed that he didn't even acknowledge my response. There are multiple factors that contribute to muscle tightness which can persist despite stretching. But seems like he knows for a fact I don't stretch so it doesnt matter. Overall they made me feel like I didn't matter. I left a message with the front desk to discuss this directly with the doctor but its been 3 days and I haven't heard back.

Dr El Ghazaar is an excellent doctor. He treated my daughter when she fractured her forearm. He is very easy and open to talk with. I highly recommend him
His office staff seem to care about the patients more so than other doctors' staff I have seen. They are mature, humble, and highly professional. They always offer water while we were waiting to be seen by the doctor. It was a pleasant surprise to come across such a friendly staff. In most doctors' offices I have been, the staff seem to be highly unprofessional and immature.

Dr El-Gazzar treated my 12 year old when she fractured her forearm. He took her when we had no appointment with him. He was very patient with her. I like his staff. They are wonderful and friendly. I rarely find friendly staff in other doctors or dentists' offices.I have been to.
