So grateful! She listened and gave honest feedback. In the end, while she couldn’t “solve” the problem causing my pain, I’m incredibly appreciative that she still gave realistic options to help manage the pain until my surgery date.

I booked an MD online. They called me to confirm my appointment and let me know I would be seeing a PA. Whoever is running this place, not a good start. I got there early, front staff were the best part of my experience. One of the receptionists helped me to my room, checked my vitals, got my height and weight, and showed me where the restroom was to give my urine sample. PA stopped by and asked if her assistant could draw blood. The assistant had a great bedside manner. The PA came in with a student and a laptop, asked me questions from the questionnaire, told me she doesn't suggest people take a certain vaccine, with no medical explanation on why, not a good medical provider. After her questionnaire, she checked my breathing and sent me home. I planned to get a full physical of my health with an MD, to be proactive about my health at 39, and all I got was labwork and vitals. Not sure if this is the norm for medical practices nowadays, if so, that's not a good sign for human health.

My appt was with Dr. Asherian, and she was incredibly nice, helpful, and efficient. She took her time, answered all my questions, and helped me with a refill plan for my prescription. She also had a medical assistant with her, and they were both very kind to me when I was being dramatic about my blood draw. Would recommend!

This office is not familiar with trans people. They think testosterone is filled by a psychiatrist, like being trans is a mental illness and we're not willing to fill it. The person I saw didn't understand why I needed a consult to a gender affirming surgeon.
They also told me the same thing I've been hearing for 12 years about my crippling migraines. Drink water, sleep 8 hours, have good posture. When I explained I've been doing that for 10 years and urgent care recommended a MRI/CT it was brushed under the rug. I did not feel listened to. They also couldn't refill any of my psych meds so I guess I'm just going off them cold turkey? They said a primary care couldn't fill them and that they were controlled which is weird because none of them are controlled medications besides testosterone and I've had PCPs fill my meds while I'm looking for a psychiatrist before with no problem.

Very frustrating. I was already skeptical of selecting a video appointment considering the copay is the SAME as in person and all my fears were realized when the video appointment essentially boiled down to “we can’t do anything over the phone”. Why offer an video appointment for certain symptoms if you can not asses those symptoms over video? Extremely frustrating. The office is more than capable of emailing me ahead time clarifying that a in person appointment would be preferred due to limitations of a video appointment. Not to mention that I had to call the office prior to my meeting start because i was not provided the information on how to access the video appointment. A waste and of time AND my copay. Will not be returning to this office.

Finding a clinic in Los Angeles that has doctors who take their time with you and actually care, well, is another story.
The front desk staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Max, Julia and Simone thank you for understanding the delay on my appointment and for not making me feel rushed.
When I tell you my experience was beyond amazing I'm not exaggerating. I spent the entire time gaslighting my experience and chalking it up to anxiety, and the doctor made it a point to let me know what I was experiencing was in fact real, and that I deserved to be cared for and tested to ensure I was okay. Dr Michael Katiraie & Dr Yasmin Asherian genuinely left me feeling incredibly validated and hopeful. What a gem. Really appreciate their care, even though I was unable to thank them personally since I was in pain in my neck, I felt a review would be my only way to express my gratitude.
I was also in and out in under an hour.
