About Ying Li
Ms. Ying Li is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist licensed to practice in Maryland since 2001. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Hunan Medical University (formerly Hunan Medical College, Yale-in-China) in China and holds a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the US. Before practicing acupuncture, Ms. Li worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), focusing on retinal vascular lesions related to diabetes and autoimmune diseases.
Ms. Li has special expertise in treating various conditions, including back pain, disc problems, arthritis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, infertility, impotence, fatigue, stress and anxiety, insomnia, side effects of chemotherapy, and weight loss.
Prior to coming to the United States, she practiced as a physician at Hunan Traditional Chinese Medical College. Ms. Li strives to integrate both Eastern and Western medicine into her unique practice, believing that these two approaches are most effective when used to support each other.
