“Young was terrific. I was having allergies and lingering symptoms from a cold, coughing, etc. and pretty much on a steady rotation of allergy and cold medication. Rather than just treat symptoms, she explained the course of action and why. I don't wake up coughing anymore! The difference is amazing. Under her guidance, I am on the road to better health, dealing with less severe but other health issues and generally feeling so much better. She provides guidance on diet, but again, also explains the "why". I highly recommend Young and her family, so glad I thought to give their practice a try.”

Young Choi, LAc is a Brooklyn-based, NCCAOM board certified East Asian medicine practitioner licensed in New York and New Jersey. Young graduated from Pacific College of Health and Sciences in New York City with a masters of science in traditional East Asian Medicine. Along with completing clinical rounds at PCHS, Young also interned at Housing Works working with underserved communities. She is incredibly passionate about treating all types of health disruptions including all women’s health issues (PCOS, fibroids, infertility, menstrual issues, hormonal imbalances, etc.), autoimmune diseases, Bell’s palsy, and any and all physical pain symptoms.

Sometimes when in pain, you get used to the discomfort and forget what feeling good feels like. I am recovering from an injured shoulder and broken collarbone. After weeks of PT, it felt like progress has stalled and I would just need to get used to forever aches. Dr Choi and Grandmaster continued to approach my injury from a less than obvious angle, and soon after, my recovery continued. I can tell the difference between how I feel now and what I thought was going to be my new normal.

Young and his family are excellent acupuncturists. We appreciate their treatment, and my health and energy levels have improved significantly. I’m a big believer in traditional Chinese acupuncture and feel so lucky that their clinic is nearby. They provide thorough procedures every time.
I highly recommend people give it a try. After several sessions, it can fundamentally transform your health and improve your entire circulatory system.

This place is absolutely amazing! They are efficient, personable, and completely professional. As a dancer, my body is put under a lot of stress. Initially, I came here because I started having really bad hamstring and back pain, which kept my movement very limited. Right now, I am completely healed. My range of motion has been completely restored! In fact, I started thinking my nephew who suffers from adhd and anxiety. Since coming here for acupuncture and herbal medicine there have been significant improvements for him at school and his day to day.

I’ve been going here for about 6 months as I had horrible migraines for 2 years prior. I’ve been to doctors who weren’t able to treat what I was dealing with and just told me they were migraine. Once I started going to YSC they were able to help diagnose what was really going on and now after going for a few months have been feeling much better. Was told a year and I will be feeling back to normal and in half that time I already see such a drastic change. Young and her family also make you feel like family and always a pleasant experience, I highly recommend.

Always pleasant, very professional, makes me comfortable. I have had both shoulders and right knee treated, I love this place. It goes hand and hand with my martial arts school. I always feel amazing after I go. I’m chronicly tight in so many muscles and this is like stretching while taking a nap hahaha. But seriously I do feel great and they are so friendly. Idk if a trust others like I would grandmaster and his daughter Choi!

I've probably seen a dozen different acupuncture doctors over the years and I had more or less decided that it was mildly effective for pain relief but not really something I found all that helpful - until I went here. My martial arts teacher insisted I see them for a bad ankle sprain I had been limping on for a week. 15 minutes later it was like nothing ever happened.
Now 20+ years later I'll go to Dr Choi (and now his daughter as well!) for anything that comes up, whether a sports injury, chronic pain, or any other medical condition. They are very comprehensive and also will put together an herbal medicine regime that will complement the acupuncture.
I don't think they teach in modern acupuncture schools the kind of stuff they were brought up learning and it shows. I can't recommend this practice enough!

In December 2023, I began visiting a local acupuncture clinic, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. The scheduling process is stress-free, allowing me to focus on my health. Since starting treatment, I've experienced increased energy, an improved mood, and for the first time, normal bowel movements. The herbal medicine helped me through Covid, and I no longer rely on prescription medications.
My father, who also became a patient, has shown remarkable improvement. After just three weeks, he no longer needs a cane for walking, which has been a joy to witness. My mother has also benefited, feeling less stiff and happier overall.
The care from Grandmaster Choi and Young creates a welcoming atmosphere that feels like family. I wholeheartedly recommend acupuncture and herbal medicine to anyone seeking holistic healing. My family's journey toward better health has been transformative, and I am incredibly grateful for the support we've received.
