About Yun Ge
Dr. Ge graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and obtained postgraduate engineering degrees in the US. She led a busy life as a software professional in Silicon Valley for more than 10 years. After struggling through some personal losses, she became more attuned to health issues and studied Chinese medicine while attending a seminar with renowned herbalist Dr. Robert Xie. The turning point in making it her new career came when she convinced him to take her as an apprentice in 2013. She also earned her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree from Five Branches University.
She spent three years in Beijing working at Dr. Robert’s startup as VP of Engineering, leading the team developing pulse diagnosis hardware and software. After returning to the Bay Area, she started her own clinic to help more patients and continues her journey by supporting acupuncturists in providing remote care through online herb dispensaries.
Dr. Ge believes patients should take a more active role in their healthcare. People must not ignore symptoms until forced to rely on medications for life. It is safer and more effective to use holistic medicine early on to strengthen the body’s natural healing capabilities.
