“Ms. Gauthier is a very present help in my situation. I'm at that age where I feel so unhealthy, menopsusal having difficulty losing more than a few pounds at a time, not eating a balaned, healthy diet and lack of excrcise.
Ms. Gauthier explained that being overweight or obese in my case is not what makes me unhealthy. Everything starts in the gut. She's given me a plan on how to achieve not just weight loss, but a plan to reach an overall healthier me.
I am so thankful for her guidance and am so encouraged to know that I can reach that goal if I do the work. It's not too late.

About Dr. Yva Gauthier
Dr. Yva Gauthier-Francois is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She attended Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she earned a master's in public health nursing and a minor in Biomedical Sciences in 2001. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama and graduated with a doctorate from Alabama University in 2020. Dr. Gauthier-Francois has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. She has worked in several hospitals in Atlanta and New Jersey in intensive care and management. Currently, she is affiliated with Grady Hospital, The Shepherd Center, and Rutgers University as an adjunct professor. She is a member of the American Association of Endocrinology (AACE) and the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA).

Dr. Gauthier does a great job and takes care of her patients. She never finishes an appointment without ensuring that her patients' needs are met. I would highly recommend scheduling a visit with her.
