I like to say midwifery chose me. Life experiences during my undergraduate studies directed me toward a nursing degree, and subsequently into BSN and MSN programs and the role of a nurse-midwife. I earned my Master's in Midwifery and a Certificate in Women's Health Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, where I also completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice. I love engaging with women on health issues they find important no matter what stage of their lives. My hope is to support you in ways that will promote your physical and emotional health. I can be a clinician from your teenage years through menopause, sharing important milestones and counseling on what matters most. We can discuss concerns before and expectations during pregnancy, including goals you have for the labor process and the postpartum period. I want you to trust your body and the natural process of being pregnant, and to experience the joy of giving birth. Being a doctorate-level practicing nurse allows me to provide you evidence-based information whenever tough decisions must be made, and can be shared and made together.
