Throughout his career Dr. Gutkovich held multiple positions, including Medical Director of Child Inpatient Psychiatry at Stony Brook University Hospital and Unit Chief of Adolescent Psychiatric Unit in Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Gutkovich has expertise in treating variety of psychiatric disorders, especially depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and ADHD. He successfully uses in his practice novel medications for treatment resistant depression. Dr. Gutkovich is versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Supportive Therapy, and Family Therapy. Dr. Gutkovich is licensed to practice in New York and has been affiliated with several professional organizations, including American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gutkovich is passionate about education and clinical research. He has published articles in many academic journals, chapters in several books and presented in professional conferences. During his tenure in St. Luke’s Roosevelt hospital he received “Teacher of the Year” award five years in a row.
