She also offers a free phone consultation of up to 15 minutes before the initial visit.** Zorica Filipovic-Jewell, MD, is a qualified and considerate psychiatrist practicing in Midtown Manhattan. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Filipovic-Jewell completed her residency in Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center and a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she currently serves as an attending psychiatrist. Additionally, she trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy through a fellowship in Psychoanalysis at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Education at New York University. At Mount Sinai, Dr. Filipovic-Jewell works as an Assistant Clinical Professor, treating psychiatric patients with medical illnesses and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at the Icahn School of Medicine. She is dually certified in both General Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Filipovic-Jewell is fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian. In her Midtown Manhattan practice, Dr. Filipovic-Jewell is deeply committed to the well-being of her patients. She takes a thorough and compassionate approach to consultations to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care. Her practice combines both psychotherapy and medication management. Dr. Filipovic-Jewell applies her skills and experience to create a unique treatment approach tailored to the individual needs and concerns of each patient.

Dr. Zorica F.J. is my doctor for many years now. She is very skillful, non-judgmental, knowledgeable. Dr. Filipovic Jewell is treating my depression for past year. She takes time to listen and meet you first, I felt that she approached me on a deeper level than psychiatrists before, she "got me right". My depression is much better now thanks to Dr. Filipovic Jewell.
