About Zuleika Tavarez
Zuleika Tavarez is a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in New York, with nine years of experience providing comprehensive care to women of all ages, with a particular focus on preventative medicine. She earned her Bachelor's degree from New York University, followed by a Master's in Nursing and a Post-Master's Certificate in Women's Health Nursing from Frontier Nursing University.
Her unwavering dedication and passion for delivering exceptional care to women is evident in her commitment to providing personalized and highly professional healthcare services. Zuleika's primary objective is to enhance access to quality healthcare for all women. She feels a deep sense of responsibility to ensure that all women can access high-quality gynecological and women's health care.
Her broader mission is to serve as a beacon for raising awareness and addressing the pressing public health crisis related to disparities experienced by Black, Latina, and women of color. Zuleika wants to assure these women that their concerns will not be disregarded or dismissed but instead listened to and addressed with the utmost respect and care. Her ultimate goal is to enhance women's overall healthcare and well-being.

As someone who works in healthcare, this office is amazing! The office is super clean & nice, staff was friendly & inviting. I believe I was the last appointment but did not feel rushed at all. The provider was awesome! She genuinely listened to each concern I had. We discussed solutions & she made sure I had an understanding of everything. I was a little nervous to discuss my specific situation but she made me feel completely comfortable. I don’t think I’ve ever had a healthcare experience as positive as this one!

The doctor was very friendly and made me feel comfortable during my visit, which I really appreciated. However several days after my appointment I still haven’t received my prescription to my pharmacy. This has been extremely frustrating, especially since it’s a medication I take daily. I hope the office can improve their communication and prescription turnaround time moving forward.

At first, I was content with the service I received at this practice. I asked the provider if there was an online portal where I could access my results. She informed me that I would need to schedule an appointment with the front desk, during which she would call me to discuss my results. When I made the appointment, I asked the receptionist if there would be a link for the call, as it seemed unnecessary to schedule a formal appointment for a simple phone conversation. He confirmed it would just be a brief phone call the following week.
A week passed, and I never received a call from the doctor but I did receive a bill for a copay for my “results.” When I called the office, I was transferred between three different staff members and was ultimately refused the opportunity to speak with the doctor until I paid the copay. I have never encountered a situation where a copay was required simply to receive test results or a prescription.

I like appointment availability, office was clean, and staff was friendly. The main reason I would not recommend is the need to schedule an appointment for verbal results! If I had a copay I would be highly upset. This is not the early 1900s, patient portals and access to results are the standard. I work in the medical field so I know the testing turnaround time and I can comprehend results. I can only hope if a prescription was needed, they wouldn't wait weeks for the result appointment to treat you.

The experience at this office was extremely better than the one on 3rd avenue. NP Tavarez called me back to rebook my annual with her and she did not disappoint. I was seen in less than 15 minutes and her exam was thorough and to the point . She was attentive and informative and a great listener . I will definitely be coming back.

Unfortunately, I did not even see Dr. Tavarez because I did not want a pap smear done. Upon arriving, (about 10 minutes late) I was greeted by staff and I signed in. Around 2 minutes later the medical assistant took me into the evaluation room and proceeded with the intake questions regarding medical history. I verbalized that I had a pap smear last year and was dismissed by medical assistant without even seeing the doctor. I understand the reasoning for urging me to go to my PCP for my annual, but was highly disappointed that Dr. Tavarez did not even come in the room. I felt as though my evaluation can have included offering a breast exam, pelvic exam, and bloodwork. This is the first visit I have ever had where I did not see the doctor at the first visit. I will be returning to my other OB/Gyn
