Dr. Aaron Lentz, DPT

Dr. Aaron Lentz, DPT

Physical Therapist
135 W 27th St, 2nd Fl, New York, NY
Aaron Lentz, PT, DPT first realized his passion for physical therapy after tearing his ACL and medial meniscus while playing soccer during high school in Providence. As a patient, he became interested in learning the details of his operation and prognosis of recovery through physical therapy. As soon as he began his course of physical therapy, he immediately discovered the impact a physical therapist can have on one’s overall well-being and the value of developing a strong connection with his physical therapist which aided towards his recovery. From that experience onward, Aaron knew he wanted to pursue a career in PT. Ever the active athletic competitor, Aaron played many sports growing up including; soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, tennis, swimming and track & field. Anytime there was a possible injury, from non-sport and the many sports activities alike, he would seek guidance from his grandfather, an orthopedic surgeon. Aaron loved these interactions and the ability of his grandfather to use his hands as tools for healing, with him and many others. Aaron knew he wanted to follow his path of using his hands as a tool for healing. After graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2014, Aaron worked as a Physical Therapist Aide for a year before moving to New York to pursue his dream of becoming a physical therapist at Long Island University Brooklyn, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his time at LIU, Aaron’s clinical experience included outpatient and inpatient therapy, rehab settings, and interactions with various patient populations. He is recognized as an HSS Rehab Hip Preservation Certified Clinician.
