Dr. Alexandra Murphy graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023. She received her B.S. in Kinesiology with a minor in Dance from the University of Virginia in 2019. While at UVA, she participated in the Sports Medicine Volunteer program, which allowed her to work closely with the track and field team. In 2019 she became an ACE certified personal trainer and has experience with both individual personal training and group fitness. During her gap year, she worked with middle school and high school athletes, primarily baseball and lacrosse, on injury prevention programs as a trainer at Advanced Kinetics PT. She has been an Orangetheory coach since November 2020, bringing more life to members in both Richmond and Cincinnati. During her clinical rotations she worked with orthopedic, neurologic, and acute populations. Her final rotation in Cincinnati allowed her to be exposed to treating patients in the performing arts and the athletic population. With a lifelong background in formal dance training, she has always been passionate about the movement of the human body. She is enthusiastic about helping individuals from both the side of rehabilitation in addition to maintaining wellness/activity in their daily lives.
