About Dr. Amir Kazemi

Dr. Kazemi participated in many team and individual sports since middle school, with football and track as his main interests. He played football through his second college year and later competed in amateur physique contests. He has thorough knowledge of various orthopedic and sports injuries and their rehabilitation needs.
Treatment Philosophy:
A complete, detailed physical therapy evaluation is key to optimum results. Treatment must be individualized, progressive, and evidence-based. Sometimes treatment must be aggressive; other times, a conservative approach is warranted. The goal is to restore strength, flexibility, endurance, power, and function as quickly as possible.
Accomplishments and Interests:
Dr. Kazemi has been a clinical professor and adjunct clinical faculty with Old Dominion University’s physical therapy program since 2006. He is certified as a clinical instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and directs the Apex clinical education program, providing orthopedic clinical rotations for several U.S. physical therapy programs. He also serves as a physical therapy consultant and advisor to several large organizations. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
