About Dr. Andrew Sneider

Andy earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University and his Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with a concentration in secondary education and a minor in psychology from St. Joseph's College. Andy spent six years teaching middle school and high school mathematics in Northern Virginia before switching careers. Being a competitive gymnast throughout high school, a gymnastics and cheer coach throughout college, and an avid weightlifter for many years, Andy was always passionate about movement and what the body can do. While teaching, Andy's pursuit of a career in physical therapy became apparent when he continued to develop after-school programs including a weight-lifting program and a parkour club for his students. Andy continued coaching while earning his doctorate from Stony Brook and graduated at the top of his class, being inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society. Andy has treated a variety of patients in outpatient orthopedic clinics as well as in an acute care hospital setting. His passion lies in working with the outpatient orthopedic population, where he has treated post-surgical patients throughout their entire recovery process, CrossFitters, weightlifters, rock climbers, cheerleaders/gymnasts, runners, and patients of all ages with diagnoses ranging from minor sprains to severe traumas. Andy prides himself on using an evidence-based approach to get his patients out of pain and back to a happy and healthy lifestyle. Outside of the clinic, Andy enjoys weightlifting, rock climbing, performing acroyoga, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, and gymnastics. Born and raised on Long Island, he is a traveler at heart and loves exploring new cities and countries. He also has a love for food and can often be found experiencing different restaurants or cooking at home.
