The new space enables us to give even better care to a new population while expanding our community.” Andy Pakter graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with his Bachelors in Biology, then went to Touro College to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his undergraduate studies, Andy worked in the Brain Plasticity Lab, performing research on patients with cerebrovascular accidents. Utilizing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and functional electric stimulation (FES), Andy improved the quality of life in the stroke population. More recently, Andy has been involved in the sports sector, handling the medical tents at the New York City Marathon, Play Rugby, and AVP (professional beach volleyball circuit). Andy is certified to perform personalized blood flow restriction therapy via Owens Recovery and Myofascial Decompression (cupping) through CupTherapy. Andy most recently received his board-certified Orthopedic Certified Specialty from the American Physical Therapy Association. In his downtime, he plays hockey, rock climbs, and bikes.
