Hi there, I'm Anthony! I'm Dr. Tony Greco, a licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD from Argosy University and a Bachelor's from New Mexico State University. I take a humanistic approach to treating mental health conditions that often overlap, including trauma, addiction, gender and sexuality, anxiety and depression, and existential issues. I draw on both personal lived experience and the latest clinical research. My approach Beginning with a humanistic approach means meeting the client where they are, then conceptualizing treatment with a combination of humanistic and positive psychology, systems theory, and recovery-oriented systems of care. My focus I work with a variety of clients—male, female, and non-binary individuals and couples—ranging from late teens to those facing end-of-life existential issues. Work with trauma and addiction often involves families and loved ones affected by these challenges. My communication style I take a more casual approach. "Joining with you" means meeting you where you are, not talking to you like a therapist, but talking with you. I see a therapist as a facilitator of a journey you are already on, walking with you to help discover things about yourself you cannot fully see alone. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist started 29 years ago on a personal recovery path from trauma and addiction within a complex system—including family—and from a low SES background. Therapy helped me reconcile life changes. Helping others has always been a calling, and becoming a therapist was a natural extension of my ongoing work on myself and with others. My goals for you Goal setting is flexible. You may start therapy with one goal, but as you learn more about yourself, your goals may evolve.
