About Dr. Ardavan Makaremi
Ardavan Makaremi, PT, DPT, received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from West Coast University in Los Angeles, California. His research investigating the effects of dual tasking on walking and balance was presented nationally at the Tri-State Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2019.
He has participated in numerous continuing education classes focused on upper extremity, lower extremity, and spine injuries at various institutes such as CSM, CPTA, Kaiser Permanente, and Medbridge. He has earned certifications to help patients using the latest evidence-based practice models and guidelines.
Ardavan has also served as the Student Assembly Representative for the Greater Los Angeles Area within the California Physical Therapy Association, contributing to efforts that create a better environment for physical therapists and patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
He holds extensive clinical experience across multiple settings, including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals. He is currently the owner of PHYSICAL THERAPY 1ST REHAB & WELLNESS, located in Montebello, CA.

The doctor was almost 30 min late to my initial consultation, and there was no acknowledgement of the lateness. After that, there was a lot of waiting between exercises during the session, while the doctor was nearby treating, or socializing with, other patients. Other physical therapists I have seen are more timely and more attentive especially on the first visit. Otherwise, they were friendly, but not the first place I would suggest for a friend.

Well it was my second visit and I was late and it was busy .. I had a 3 different tech help ! Thot had to ask me first what hurt ! I didn’t know I would be passed around. So that was a little uncomfortable! They do good work ! I just felt this time the attention to details was gone ! One kid never introduced himself ! 4 more to go

the PT was very nice and answered my questions - but the office just seemed super overbooked with patients. they would go person to person but you'd be left waiting 10-20 minutes before they'd check back up with you. felt stranded at times. the past PTs ive been to I've had dedicated attention for the hour long session and didn't have to flag them down.. the staff all seemed professional, it's just how overcrowded it was that was offputting.

I was seen quickly by the doctor that I booked the appointment for. He was excellent and made an excellent diagnosis. He explained everything thoroughly. He gave me excellent exercises to do and came up with a plan for my full recovery. Highly recommend!

Great communication from Dr. Tingilian. Received extensive treatment and recommendations for exercises to do at home. Friendly office and people. I was seen by the guy who was working. He did a small amount of “work” on me. A couple cracks on my back and suction cups but his focus was more on the other people (women) in the room. I noticed a girl was in there before me and she was doing her PT. I was told I was done while he kept working on her. (Little focus on me) My back pain I came in for was real and I don’t feel like he really did a professional job.
