Getting to know Dr. Arona Luckerman

Arona Luckerman, PsyD, licensed psychologist trained at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am here to help you through this challenging time toward healing and growth. My focus areas include relationship issues, career and health challenges, trauma, grief and loss, and life transition issues. My approach I begin by providing a safe space where we can work together to explore your issues, thoughts, and feelings. Together, we identify your goals and create an action plan tailored to your needs. I use a broad range of cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques to find what works best for you. You set the pace—I am your guide on this journey. My focus I have worked with a wide range of adults, helping them identify and work through challenges to find understanding, relief from emotional pain, and clarity about their direction. My experience includes supporting military members and their families, LGBTQ+ individuals, artists, performers, and other creatives. My communication style I listen without judgment and ask thoughtful questions. Together, we develop a plan of action that may include simple or more complex steps, depending on your needs. My journey to therapy My mother was a therapist, and my father wrote about the mind-body connection and wellness. Their influence inspired my lifelong commitment to guiding others through their challenges, mental health journeys, and life goals. My goals for you We collaborate to find the best path to achieve your goals. As we gain clearer understanding of your evolving situations, thoughts, and feelings, we explore what you need and want. The journey builds a foundation of skills, confidence, and self-understanding through successful steps. My first session with you I will ask questions about what brings you to therapy, how you feel, your family and medical history, work, and relationships. These questions provide context for where you are now and what you may want to explore.
