This was the first time I have ever experienced a therapy session. Banafsheh was very patient and I felt comfortable talking to her. She explained everything clearly. Overall, It was a nice first experience.

Hello there, I am looking forward to working with you. I provide a strengths-based, person-centered, eclectic approach tailored to your goals and needs. I empower my clients so they can achieve their goals and build the life they want. I create a culturally sensitive, comfortable, safe environment for my clients so they can speak from the heart.
I treat clients up to 64 years old and those experiencing ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, peer relationships, intimate relationship issues, school-related issues, self-esteem problems, stress, trauma, PTSD, women's issues, impulse control issues, and mood disorders. I also have extensive experience working with high-risk clients. During sessions, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's degree from Islamic Azad University.
