I’m in my early 30s and have been an athlete since age 4. If you’re an active person / retired athlete, you will love her. I’m a dancer, runner, and cross train with Barre, Weights, Boxing, and Rowing. I overdid with running this time and couldn’t extend my right knee fully. Within one appointment I had 5° of extension back, after 2 weeks I was pain free in the knee, and after 5 weeks I’m almost back to normal. I came in very early but I promise you will get back to your normal working with Dr. Basma.”

About Basma Zewar

Basma has over 12 years of experience treating patients in orthopedic, geriatric, and sports settings. She earned her Bachelor's in Physical Therapy from Cairo University. Basma is proficient in the Graston technique, Functional Manual Therapy (FMT), Kinesio taping, Mulligan technique, and is a certified vestibular rehab specialist. Her goal is to create a positive healing experience for patients by taking the time to diagnose, educate, and devise a customized rehabilitation program for each individual. She has strong manual skills and extensive knowledge of functional exercises to modify and progress her patients throughout their healing process. Basma also served as a clinical instructor (CI) in LIC between 2018 and 2019 and was an assistant professor from 2013 to 2015, teaching undergraduates manual therapy techniques and differential diagnosis in physical therapy.

I was confirmed by the office as “all set” for my upcoming appt two days later. I filled out all the required forms including the front and back of my insurance cards. I selected this provider because they accepted my insurance. Two hours before I was to leave for this 4 o’clock appointment today the office called and informed me they do not accept my insurance and the doctor was not taking new patients. I asked them why they were informing me of this two hours before my appointment when they had all of my information two days before my appointment, all of which they wrote back they had verified This is inexcusable. I am in a great deal of pain and now I could not have a doctor after waiting for this appointment to help me in the end.
