“Bobby is a knowledgeable and compassionate physical therapist. As a psychotherapist working with patients with chronic pain, I have referred multiple clients to Bobby to help them work on fear of movement and getting back to physical activity with great success. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a mindbody PT that takes a whole person approach. ”

Dr. Geevarughese earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York Medical College and brings 13 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. With an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, he made a radical shift from engineering to healthcare inspired by his own health struggles. He is dedicated to helping individuals suffering from chronic pain or disease through a biopsychosocial and pain science approach, aiming to help you avoid unnecessary surgeries or medications. Recent research shows that most chronic pain is not caused by structural issues but by overactivity in the brain and nervous system. The biopsychosocial model addresses all aspects of your life that may contribute to pain and overall health, including diet, fitness, sleep, stress management, mental, spiritual, and emotional health, support systems, and work/life balance. Pain science involves educating patients about the brain's role in pain development and reducing fear of symptoms. Treatments such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy teach the brain to interpret bodily symptoms as safe rather than dangerous. These methods have proven highly effective in improving and even curing chronic pain. In his free time, Bobby enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, and traveling.
