“My appointment at Alpine Physical Therapy was incredible. Brett Barnes was knowledgable and kind, he treated me with the utmost respect while also accurately diagnosing my injury and gave me help not only with immediate relief but also with incredibly insightful exercises to do going forward to prevent any new or further injury from happening. I could not recommend Alpine Physical Therapy, and the doctors who work there, more.”

About Dr. Brett Barnes

I am a Colorado native and former college football player who found a career I love in physical therapy. As a graduate of Regis University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, I bring both education and personal experience to my practice. As a former athlete, I understand how much an injury can impact you-not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. This is why I enjoy being in this field, because I get to help you return to doing what you love. I recently passed my board exam and am now a board-certified specialist in Orthopedics.

I've been seeing Brett at Alpine Physical Therapy and Sports Performance for almost two years now for various reasons and I have zero plans to go anywhere else. The entire team does their best to take care of their patients, no matter goals or injury they come in for. I can't recommend them enough.
Brett is always super friendly, and takes the time to understand whatever the need is at the visit. He's knowledgeable and makes it a habit to explain what's going on in the body to help you better understand why the exercises/treatment makes sense. His goal is to get you better and back to whatever activity you love.
I have had so many visits with Brett that I have lost track. Initially what brought me in was, what I thought, a low back injury. Turns out I had “some nerve irritation stemming from your low back that is amplified by restrictions in your hip musculature.” (That is an exact quote from our text exchanges because he has sent me countless yet beneficial exercises, videos, and links that I refuse to delete it.) My nerve irritation has since subsided and I am now on what I call a “monthly maintenance program.” I am a weightlifter/snowboarder/blue collar worker so there is always something on my body that could use a little help. Brett is the absolute best PT I have had throughout my “athletic career.” The biggest reason is that HE works with you your ENTIRE session. You won’t be handed off to an aid or have to go bang out your reps in the corner by yourself. I recommend him to anyone in search or a PT or anyone who complains of an ache or pain that I know he could help them with. Side note: I have had chronic knee pain since 1996 and he has been the only PT to help me experience successful muscle development which has all be eliminated my pain. Thanks for reading :)
I've been seeing Brett for over a year and he's been great at treating my ailments. He's super knowledgeable and extremely professional. Highly recommend Alpine Therapy!
Definitely will recommend this place to friends and family. All members seemed to care and want to assist in getting you back to a normal lifestyle. Very appreciative of the whole group and environment of this establishment.
I've been going to Alpine PT and Sports Performance for over a year, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is dealing with an injury and/or looking for help making their body work in the most efficient, safest, and strongest way possible in a sport (or even in daily life). I have had nothing but positive experiences with the whole team at Alpine PT, and I have noticed a huge difference in my overall physical health and athletic performance since starting with Brett over a year ago. If I could give Brett, Zach, and Rachel more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat.
Brett is an outstanding physical therapist that is attentive, helpful, and kind. He has helped me manage both acute and chronic injuries. On top of treating the current issue on hand, he also educates you on how to help prevent injuries in the future.
Can’t say enough great things about Brett and the whole clinic. Rather than a list of things my injury prevented me from doing we worked together to find movements modifications. He gave me exercises that were not overly complicated but very effective and I was able to get back to working out quickly.
