Brock Athey, PT

Brock Athey, PT

Physical Therapist
2810 E Prospect Rd, York, PA
Brock Athney’s passion for physical therapy grew from a lifelong love of exercise and athletics. Growing up playing baseball and basketball, he developed an early appreciation for competition and training — along with an understanding of the physical demands that come with sport. Experiencing injuries of his own while playing sparked his interest in physical therapy. Brock completed both his undergraduate and graduate education at West Virginia University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Aquatic Therapy in 2016 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2019. Brock has been practicing as a physical therapist since 2019, with a primary focus on orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Before joining True Sports Physical Therapy, he worked as a travel physical therapist, practicing at multiple orthopedic institutes across the country. That experience exposed him to a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses both surgical and non-surgical and a diverse patient population ranging from young athletes to active older adults. It also reinforced his appreciation for tailoring rehabilitation to each patient’s individual goals, activity level, and lifestyle. Brock is particularly interested in working with everyday athletes, including weightlifters and powerlifters, hybrid athletes, runners, baseball and softball players, basketball players, racket-sport athletes, and golfers. He is passionate about helping athletes of all levels recover from injury, improve their performance, and continue participating in the activities and sports they enjoy.
