My name is Dr. Caitlin McCurley, and I studied Motor Behavior in a master's program at Louisiana State University. During my time at LSU, I was responsible for running data collections for research in the biomechanics laboratory. I acquired a broad range of knowledge in the physics of human movement as well as the neurological and psychological aspects of motor control and motor learning. It was during my time in Baton Rouge that I discovered a profound love of rock climbing. I found that rock climbing was a culmination of my studies in exercise science and the mechanical functions of the human body.
I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California in May 2023. While training at USC, I was fortunate enough to study pelvic health in multiple clinical rotations. I began to draw parallels between my exercise hobbies and their effects on pelvic health, and I am excited to explore how we can use different modes of exercise to improve pelvic health.
I swam competitively from kindergarten through college. I am now an avid backpacker, rock climber, and am building a growing knowledge of Muay Thai kickboxing.
