About Chiwon M. Ahn

Chiwon was born in Korea and moved to New Jersey at the age of 8. Inspired by his cousins in Korea who are physical therapists, Chiwon developed a strong interest in the field. He graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2021 and went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023. During his clinical rotations, Chiwon gained diverse experience in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and inpatient hospital settings. Chiwon's primary approach to physical therapy emphasizes functional movement-based exercises and postural education. He creates individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, incorporating neuromuscular education, sport-specific activities, and muscular strengthening. Chiwon is dedicated to his patients and strives to provide the highest quality of care. In his free time, Chiwon enjoys playing basketball, running, and weightlifting. He also loves traveling across the country with his family and friends.
