Dr. Chris Posthumus, PT, DPT, CSMS, serves as Clinic Director and Physical Therapist at the new Caledonia facility. “I am thrilled to serve the Caledonia community,” said Chris. “I am thankful for the opportunity to share my passion for patient care in a growing area. Working with patients to return them to their hobbies and the activities they enjoy remains the best part of being a physical therapist.” Chris’ philosophy in physical therapy is providing excellent patient communication and education while combining integrated manual techniques and focusing on functional-based exercises to meet patients’ goals. He is compassionate and attentive, developing individualized plans for every patient. Chris specializes in orthopedics across all age ranges and activity and fitness levels, from returning to college athletics to pickleball or getting back to walking your dog. Chris began his career as a Physical Therapist in 2011 and came to Ivy from Orthopedic Associates of Michigan, where he was a therapist and the Area Director of Rehabilitation. Over his 12 years of experience, nine years with OAM, he has built an extensive background in treating sprains/strains, pre-and post-surgical therapy, day-to-day wear and tear, and back and neck pain. Chris grew up in Grandville, and outside of starting his therapy career in the SW Chicago suburbs from 2011 to 2014, he has lived in the greater Grand Rapids area. Chris is married and enjoys playing basketball, golf, skiing, and coaching his two children in soccer and basketball outside of work.
