Hi! I'm Dr. Daniel Rippetoe, MD, MBA. I have been practicing psychiatry for over fifteen years and have experience with a variety of mental and behavioral health conditions, having cared for patients from all walks of life.
I am originally from Texas and studied biology and psychology in college in Missouri. After graduating from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Doctor of Medicine degree, I completed my Psychiatry residency at Indiana University, where I also earned my Master's in Business Administration. A few years ago, I moved to Florida and started my private practice.
I am experienced in working with mental health issues including depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma/PTSD, bipolar disorder, addictions, and other conditions. I have a strong interest in the role of spirituality in emotional and mental well-being. I have found mindfulness-based stress reduction to be a perfect combination with minimal medication.

What should a new client know about working with you?
When you book your appointment on zocdoc please allow me time to confirm the appt. First I will send you a link to my website to your phone number and email and there you can get enrolled in my online clinic by filling out the usual doctor office paperwork, schedule the appointment according to your choice, and I will send you a link for the video appointment or if you prefer we can use facetime, zoom, etc. I try to be available around the clock because I have clients all over the world in different time zones. If you don't see a time that works for you let me know and we can figure it out.

Initial session: $300 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $275 for 60 minutes

Dr. Rippetoe made me feel very comfortable for me to open up and talk about my severe anxiety and listened to me. I felt heard. The medications he prescribed me are working, and I've been able overall to actually get more than 2 hours of sleep!!! I was fearful to talk about my anxiety and panic attacks, but he made me feel comfortable and prescribed me an anxiety medication that WORKS. I am looking forward to my next appointment with him ??

I had no idea how to do the telehealth and explained the meds I was taking from last doc that worked for me. I'm 45 yrs old I kno what works and prior to appt he gave me articles of switching my meds. My whole point was to continue my meds, that's it.

Dr. Rippetoe was nice to talk to. He confirmed the diagnosis I knew about and prescribed medicines. When one of the prescriptions required insurance approval, he gave up on me completely. He seemed inexperienced in the process and did not bother to learn. If you need a standard psychiatrist go elsewhere.

He’s very understanding and everything. I definitely like the fact that he’s wanting to incorporate different methods aside from standard medication treatment plans to help out. For example, suggesting supplements to help, mental exercises, suggesting things to do from daily activities that can help improve mindset. I’m very excited to be able to do that in the future appointments.
He’s also very understanding and felt no judgment while also being an amazing individual to talk to just about life.

I delayed my journey to seek a psychiatrist because of the difficulty finding one and the cost. I was pleased on how easy it was to book an appointment with Dr. Rippetoe. I don't have insurance so the price seem fair to me.
He was in contact with me before guiding me through the process to get ready for our video session. It was very quick and simple, I felt like he took the necessary time to understand my situation. Dr. Rippetoe explained different medications very well, why these certain options, and how they would work for me. Seeking help from a psychiatrist has been very stressful and worrying, but Dr. Rippetoe made it very simple and easy!
