About Dr. Daniel Ryan
After earning his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Georgia in 2014 and completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Emory University last year, Dan moved to Portland with his fianc?e and their two dogs. A year later, he's loving the weather, the people, and the great outdoors. He spends most of his free time running, hiking, and attempting to cross-country ski! Before joining Optimal Results, Dan worked alongside health and fitness professionals from various backgrounds in outpatient Pediatric Therapy at a Children's Therapy Center, the Special Olympics, and as an Assistant Coach for a high school track team. Dan is goal-driven, patient-focused, easygoing, and ready to help you in your personalized recovery.

The appointment was wonky - I booked an online session but they changed it to in-person without contacting me to confirm, so that was frustrating.
However, the actual doctor was stellar! He was kind, knowledgeable, friendly to us queer folks, and was non-toxic. I enjoy the homework and look forward to future sessions

Dan was great. I have a condition that is worsened by exercise, which makes physical therapy challenging. Dan was happy to work within my limitations and we created a plan to strengthen specific muscles without exacerbating my underlying condition.

Dr. Ryan did an excellent job creating a plan to eliminate my knee pain and get me back to running. So grateful that it was a quick and easy fix with special drills he set up for me. I have more than 45 years of running on these legs and it is good to have someone that can keep me running.

Daniel is the absolute best! He started helping me about 6 weeks after my ankle surgery and he helped me through every step of my recovery (literally!) With his help and support I was back up and walking quickly and I was even able to do Disney and Vegas 3 months post op. He will get to know you on a personal level and help tailor your physical therapy to your lifestyle and your goals. He’s fantastic and I highly recommend.
I also can’t say enough about Arturo at the front! He helped me through all of my insurance questions and he is amazing with scheduling. I highly recommend both of them!

Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was always willing to work with my schedule and approach my recovery at a speed that worked for me. I am very thankful for all his help, and I recommend his services to anyone in need of physical therapy.
