Dave earned both his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology (2006) and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (2010) from Long Island University. In 2015, Dave became the founder and owner of Riser Physical Medicine.
With advanced clinical training in treatments for the shoulder and spine, he hopes to bring his knowledge of exercise science, manual techniques, and interpersonal skills to the Riser patient population.
Dave believes that successful physical therapy revolves around empowering patients to become responsible for their own recovery while he effectively guides them through the phases of rehabilitation.

I was seen quickly and doctor had friendly bedside manner. He did very little to help my condition though. They seem busy with a lot of patients. Not sure I would go back.

The provider was 30 minutes late for my appointment, he did not apologize for being late nor acknowledge that he was late. He was not very gentle with my injury. I did not leave feeling better. While they did inform me after the appointment they didn't take my insurance, it wasn't what I was expecting and the investment was not worth it as I am still in pain. I've had other providers address this issue in the past and they were able to help me. Overall it was not a pleasant or professional experience.

I had really bad back pain with shooting pain down my leg and it helped me so much. It was the most relief I have felt since I got injured a few weeks ago and I am so glad I found this place!

Had a great first visit with Dr. Gerskovich. He understood my issues and worked with the staff chiropractor to help reduce pain and muscle spasms, and gave me some exercises at home between visits. Happily going back in a couple of days.

Super nice easy going person, took time to explain things, how this would work etc. I've never done PT before so was pretty unsure of what to expect but he walked me through it and how it would go etc. Also really engaging and funny which always helps. Beyond that the space is bright, and the other people who work there seem friendly. Would recommend for sure.
