I have been Deborah Washburn's patient for 14+ years. She has helped me work through deep trauma from my past as well as present-day conflicts, both internal and external. I had many big changes and difficulties throughout my 20s and 30s, particularly with depression, anxiety, trust issues, and panic attacks. During the course of our sessions, I have been through break-ups, loss of- then change- of employment, and I was diagnosed with a chronic disease. Deborah made herself available to me for emergency sessions as well as our scheduled ones, always helping me through the toughest of times. She is consistently professional and really meets me where I am. I feel that she understands me, which has been really important to me. Through our work, I feel stronger and more capable of dealing/coping with change, loss and anxiety, and I have a much better understanding of my motivations and patterns.

We are in uncharted waters, and many of us feel unmoored. We need to find new ways of working until this health crisis abates. Temporarily, I am providing telehealth sessions to adults of all ages. It feels different from meeting in person, but connecting with a caring professional who is a good listener can be helpful. We will work together within a relational framework: that is, we will co-create a close, confidential connection that enables the exploration of personal history; the examination of current difficulties; and the endeavor to be open to new possibilities, participate authentically in relationships, and live life more fully. Some people feel stuck in dysfunctional ways of being, while others become overwhelmed by change: in relationships, careers, or personal health. The uncertainty around the future of our families, nation, and world is unsettling to say the least. I help clients to develop coping strategies and manage life transitions, whether of their choosing or not, so as to continue to use their gifts productively. This time of sequestration could be an opportunity for growth. Let's find out if we are a good match.
