About Donald Squire
Donald Squire is the Clinical Director of SPEAR's Penn Plaza ? 7th Ave location. Don earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania, where he also received his Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, graduating magna cum laude. Don has gained clinical experience in both sports and orthopedic outpatient settings, as well as inpatient neurological and sub-acute rehabilitation. Following graduation, Don returned to his native Long Island and developed his skills in a sports/orthopedic clinic, which helped focus his interest on manual therapy, functional rehabilitation programs, and post-operative therapy-especially of the knee, shoulder, and ankle.
Don's interest in physical therapy developed from his long background of competing in athletics at the youth, high school, collegiate, and post-collegiate levels. During his undergraduate studies at Misericordia University, Don was a member of the Men's Lacrosse team. He also participated in semi-professional football following his college career. Don's years of athletics, injuries, and rehabilitation sparked his desire to become a physical therapist and help other athletes and active individuals return to their peak level of fitness and function. While finishing his Doctorate, Don's love for teaching and developing athletes led him to become the Varsity Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach at a local Dallas high school, helping lead the team to a second-place conference finish. His passion for learning has Don currently studying to obtain his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
When not helping others maximize their recovery, Don stays active by working out, playing sports, scuba diving, and skiing.

Don is very attentive and thorough. Remembers issues/concerns from past appts and builds on exercises. Never pushes too much but fast enough to ensure progress.

The front office staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, and the facility was updated and clean. In the first session, my PT Don did a great job evaluating my injuries and making me feel understood, and put together a detailed and custom recovery plan to get me where I wanted to be. The rehab techniques used were current and effective, and the equipment was top-notch. Don and the staff also bring a ton of enthusiasm and positivity to each session, and really make you feel like part of the team. I can't recommend SPEAR enough!

Don's knowledge of the body is always impressive and has always been able to locate the source of my pain and quickly find a solution, whether by manual or exercises to complete. I have always felt heard & understood in his care & will always reccommend him for anyone's PT care.

Don was awesome, 5 stars. He helped me understand my injury, provided clear direction on my care, and was one of the best I've ever experienced with his manual therapy (hands working on me). I feel confident with Don on my case, and would go back for future injuries or send my family/friends to see him.
