About Dr. Elaine Mele
Elaine holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has been in practice for over 25 years. Along the way, she has supplemented her education with certifications that include:
Professional Yoga Therapist,
Certified 500+ hour Yoga Teacher,
Certified Functional Nutrition for Chronic Pain,
Certified Dry Needling
Women's Health PT Certification (in process) .
Elaine's clients benefit from her eclectic, whole-systems approach toward treatment that includes traditional western medicine approaches along with meditation, mindfulness, and breathwork, all components necessary for complete healing.

Consistent attendance is imperative for progress, but life happens. Elaine will do her best to reschedule appointments for the same week, but it is not guaranteed.

Dr. Mele really cares about you and your body. She is patient, kind and thorough. Dr. Mele took the time to listen and then explained my injury in terms easy to understand. The exercises she assigned were clear and significantly improved my condition. Overall, working with Dr. Mele was a wonderful experience.

After dragging around a minor but nagging hip injury for YEARS, I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday by seeing if anything could be done. After maybe 7 visits and painless dry needling my hip pain went away completely. And stayed away! Nearly a year later I remain pain free. I am hiking, swimming, cross-country skiing, dancing and fully enjoying my life! She has given me my life back! My only lingering question is WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?

Elaine's many many years of training and expertise is beyond impressive, and her overall vibe is even more lovely. She makes you feel very comfortable right away, is an amazing listener to everything you have going on with your body, and truly takes a holistic approach to your well being, using her very strong intuition and knowledge to hone in on exactly what you need in that moment. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

Elaine Mele was extremely knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. I felt that she really listened to me and did an extremely thorough exam. She had a great handle on my symptoms and I left my appointment with a solid plan in place for how we would move forward with treatment. Highly recommend her!!!

Dr Mele has a very calming yet capable presence which made me feel comfortable immediately. I trust her ability to address my issues as she has extensive experience. She took the time needed to evaluate and listen to me as a patient. I highly recommend Dr Mele.

I visited Elaine for pelvic floor therapy to help me with instability in my left hip and sacrum. She was able to offer me immediate relief with some soft tissue work, as well as assess some of the underlying issues that were contributing to my difficulty in healing. She prescribed an exercise plan for me that has resulted in a near total balancing of the left and right sides of my body, which were visibly different at my first visit. She is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I have since seen her for other concerns and she never fails to help me continue moving forward. I highly recommend her services!
