Elfreda completed her undergraduate studies at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT. She earned a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University in 2021. While at Brenau, Elfreda worked as a lab assistant in the School of Occupational Therapy assisting the OT faculty and clinical instructors with a variety of duties and providing guidance on lab set ups for clinical simulations. During her final year in graduate school, Elfreda conducted research on CHT’s (Certified Hand Therapists) use of the communication modes of the Intentional Relationship Model (IRM) in therapeutic relationships to improve treatment outcomes. She is an active member of the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association and the Georgia Hand and Upper Extremity special interest group. Her main areas of practice and interest are in the rehabilitation of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Elfreda is married with two children, enjoys travelling, and spending time with friends and family.

About Elfreda Morrison
