Dr. Emily Harmon, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist
VA
Dr. Harmon, born and raised in Arlington with family roots dating back to the 1800s in the Arlington/Alexandria area. While in school, she fell in love with neurological aspects of the human body and now finds significant importance in incorporating a whole-body approach across all populations. After spending almost 5 years in a busy out-patient orthopedic practice, she has grown to value the one-on-one approach in her patient or clients' environment where time together is not rushed and patients are not quickly handed off to a technician to complete generic exercises. She grew up with a love of athletics and two parents who value science, education, healthcare, and physical activity. She was recruited to play NCAA Division I basketball for Radford University but was sidelined for much of her career due to injury. Through this experience, she gained a different point of view and valuable insight and became interested in what the human body is capable of doing.
